Sharedlog Project - The new system

Saturday, October 13th, 2007

A new writing system, developed and tested last year has reopened for business yesterday. It’s called the Shared Log project, and it is the bringing together of writers from all backgrounds in order to collectively write articles on a wide range of subjects. The advantages to the writers? Well they can write as much or as little as they like, they can pick the subjects they would like to write on, and best of all there is no minimum commitment level. Writers can submit and be paid for 10 articles in a day, or they can write only one article in a month if they are busy with other things.

This is how the shared log project works. First you need to have been accepted as a writer. Applications can be made to sanjayshelat AT gmail . com. Stating how you heard about the project. Once you are an approved writer, you log in to the sharedlog system here.

From there you will be presented with a JOBs board. The board will change from month to month, so keep an eye out for new and interesting articles to write. When you have the list, you simply click on the job that you think you might like to write. If you would like to write the article, you then click hold job – what this does is hold the job and the money for you so that if you choose to write it later whilst not online, the job will still be waiting for you when you log back in. You can hold several jobs at once.

As this is internet based, all payments are calculated in Dollars, not pounds – though as we pay by PAYPAL you will receive payment in which ever currency your PayPal account uses. You have to earn $50 Dollars before you can claim payment for your work, though there is no upper limit on the amount you can earn.

So to any of you readers who are new sharedlog writers, happy article writing!

To anyone thinks they would like to so some part time writing, Sharedlog are currently recruiting, and you can email the current manager at sanjayshelat AT gmail . com. with the things you would be interested in writing about.
