Build Your Business Through Your Blog
I’m sure you have heard the term “monetize your blog” for profit. This is simply where you place ads on your blog and earn revenue from them or placing affiliate links throughout your blog and earning money on sales you generate. Did you know that you can actually build your home based business simply by owning a blog?
It is not that hard either. It just takes a little consistency and creativity. All you do is create a blog that centers around helping people grow their business. Give them ideas, resources and information on how to grow their business through online advertising methods, offline methods, building leadership skills, team management, etc.
The twist though, is to use your business as an example. When talking about a business in your posts, you are going to throw in your links to your business. This, believe it or not, converts people very well. They see you as a leader and therefore join under you in your business. All you have to do is keep posting new information in your blog on a regular basis.
So for example, I saw a fantastic TV blog the other day. They were talking about stuff that they were genuinely interested in, you know, tv shows like House and Heroes. Now to be honest writing stuff about Heroes is really easy, I watch and love it. Yet through good building up of the blog and careful monetization they are making really good money from it. Not only do they have the usual google adsense on the website to get click money, they also have an affiliate pointing to Amazon so they make really good money if someone then goes on to buy a DVD on Heroes. Think about it, someone reading an article on Heroes are quite likely to like the show, and therefore are much more likely to buy it than most other general readers. It makes logical sense. For this person it makes more than just sense, it makes them money.
