Love In An Emulator.

Love In An Emulator.

If you are like me (God help you if you are) and you have a fondness for all arcade games then you should have a look at the ‘MAME32’ website.

MAME (which stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) is a free download that allows you to play on hundreds of different vintage games. When you have installed the actual emulator it is just a simple case of downloading and running whatever ROM it is you are after. All of the famous titles are here plus a great deal that you had either forgotten all about or you had never even heard of in the first place.

I have already got a great selection of games for mine! My titles range from the really early days (‘Asteroids’, ‘Galaxian’, ‘Gorf’) to many games from the mid-eighties (‘Paperboy’, ‘Bubble Bobble’, ‘Kung-Fu Master’). There is an enormous amount to choose from and, if you are old enough to remember making 10p last you for half an hour, you really will have a field day.

But it isn’t just a great download for old saddos like myself; today’s young children still love all those simple, retro titles. The thing is that although the graphics were a bit crap and the music was rather tinny, they are still great fun to play; they are cheery, colourful and addictive.

Besides, how can any lover of Nintendo games not want to own the original ‘Donkey Kong’ with the very first appearance of Mario? It was all history in the making!

One more quick thing, I have just had a look at the web design for this hr management software website and I must admit in my web designer opinion it is very pretty. I was having quite a strenuous time actually finding any facts and figures however… Check it out everyone, if I could get a couple of reviews on it, that would be amazing!
